As the manager and booking agent for Atlanta’s famous Castle Rock concert venue, Amelia “Ame” Grace is ready for the most exciting week of her career: she’s booked three shows and a live DVD-filming for the comeback tour of none other than the eighties Pop Rock Prince himself, Bobby Glitter! Before the rock star can take a bow on the first night, however, trouble steals the show as Castle Rock’s owner takes a deadly tumble from atop the venue’s
rear tower. To make matters worse, the police suspect foul play–and all signs point to two of Castle Rock’s own employees. Ame soon finds herself in a race against time to clear the names of her friends and uncover the truth before the killer decides it’s curtains for her too!

How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
Mysteries, in my opinion, are the most fun genre to both write and read. They’re like puzzles–the pieces are all there, but you’ve got to work to make them fit.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
It’s never too late to start writing. I used to write short stories and poetry in elementary and middle school, but I took a 16-year hiatus and didn’t begin writing “Murder At Castle Rock” until after five years of college. Use the life experiences you’ve had to shape your stories and characters, and the writing will come more easily than you think.
Author Bio:
Anne Marie Stoddard used to work in radio, and it rocked. She goes to concerts like it’s her job–because sometimes, it actually is. After studying Music Business at the University of Georgia, Anne Marie has worked for several music venues, radio stations, and large music festivals, and she currently creates promotional contests and writes music trivia for a media company. Aside from all things music, she loves college football, anything pumpkin-flavored, and a good mystery. Her first full-length novel, “Murder At Castle Rock,” was the winner of the 2012 AJC Decatur Book Festival and BookLogix Publishing Services, Inc. Writing Contest. She is currently working on her second novel from her home in Atlanta, GA.
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I’ve always been a mystery lover. I’ve been reading them for years, but I’ve rarely come across one that was set in the music industry, and never one set at a concert venue. Having spent part of my life working in and around venues, I decided to give writing a try using my experience in the music industry for inspiration, and the plot just sort of evolved on its own.
